Synopsis

I just watched the first episode of The Next Prince, and I’m already obsessed. Royal secrets, fencing, and an accidental kiss? Yeah, it’s got me hooked. Here’s my quick recap and thoughts. 🎬👀

Episode 1 Recap (Spoilers Ahead!) ⚔️

Charan’s Introduction and Royal Setup

The show opens with a bedtime story about Emmaly. Then we meet Charan — glasses, paintbrush, and riding a white horse like he owns the world. 🐎🎨He gets summoned to the palace, and after a flashy fight (which he wins effortlessly), we learn he’s the King’s grandson.
The King sends Charan on a mission to the UK to find some Earl Grey tea — but we all know it’s not really about tea.

Enter Khanin (aka Kenneth aka “Earl Grey”)

Cut to London. A fencing match. Charan is watching. One fencer wins: Kenneth, later revealed to be Khanin. Charan ‘stalks’ him a bit, critiques his fencing, and mysteriously ends up moving into his house. Yes, really. 🏠😅

The Bickering Roommates & That Kiss 💢➡️💋

Khanin is not amused. They bicker. A lot. But the tension? Delicious. At a party, they play the Pocky Game (you know where this is going). And yep, they kiss. Charan looks stunned. I screamed. 😱💖
Charan later brings up the Emmalian Kiss — a bond that lasts till death. Gulp. 😳

The Truth Bomb 💣👑

Khanin discovers he’s actually a prince. His “dad” isn’t his biological father. The real story involves assassins, secret rescues, and royal bloodlines. Now he has to return to Emmaly.
He refuses… but then they get ambushed. A gunshot goes off. End of episode. Cliffhanger! 🔫😨

Plot: 10/10

It delivers drama, tension, and just enough mystery to keep me invested. ✅

Cast:

Zee and NuNew? Their chemistry never misses. I’m loving them here just as much as I did in Cutie Pie. 🥰

Visuals & Music:

It looks expensive. It sounds emotional. I’m in. 🎥🎼

Writing:

A bit clunky when they switch to English, but forgivable. The rest flows nicely. ✍️

Rewatch Value:

I’m definitely rewatching this while waiting for episode 2. 🔁📺
