Revenged Love BL Series Review – Part 1 (Episodes 1-12)
Revenged Love has all my favorite tropes packaged in one series. Bad boy meets good boy? Check! Enemies to lovers? Check! Poor boy meets tall, dark, and handsome CEO-type dude? Check!
This show is definitely a must-watch. It’s going on my future rewatch list ’cause I just can’t get enough.
My Rating: 8.5/10
Episode 1

Chi Cheng is involved in an underground snake-fighting ring. His father forces him to join the family business by taking away his beloved snakes.
Wu Qi Qiong’s girlfriend, Yue Yue, breaks up with him because he’s in bad shape physically and pocket-wise. Wu Qi Qiong decides to work out and dress well in hopes of winning Yue Yue back, but she harshly turns him down because he’s still poor. Wu Qi Qiong then starts a business to change his life. He even changes his name to Wu Suo Wei. It’s at his new stall business that he runs into Chi Cheng.
Wu Suo Wei and Chi Cheng’s first meeting is so funny, with Wu Suo Wei trying to play macho guy, but then he throws candied fruit on Chi Cheng, ruining his aloof image. Haha.
The candied fruit business falls through and Wu Suo Wei starts another gig. You guessed it—livestreaming! And he meets Chi Cheng again when pulling a stunt to teach his viewers how to avoid getting pickpocketed. This hustle falls through again because Chi Cheng confiscates his devices.
Yue Yue’s next target is none other than Chi Cheng. Girl is busy trying to bag a rich man. I respect the hustle, but she did my boy Wu Suo Wei dirty. Chi Cheng sees an opportunity to use Yue Yue to placate his dad and get his snakes back.
On a lighter note, Wu Suo Wei and Doc’s relationship is so cute.
Wu Suo Wei and Chi Cheng’s next meeting is cute at first until Wu Suo Wei sees Yue Yue giving Chi Cheng a peck on the cheek. He gets understandably mad and vows revenge!
Episode 2

So, umm, second couple alert! I’m so excited. Maybe Doc is gonna get a boyfriend! But wait, the love interest gets slapped? You got that right. Boys and girls, we don’t feel up our crushes without CONSENT! Okay, lesson is over, but I can’t wait to see what becomes of these two.
Doc and Wu Suo Wei start working on their new plan to get Chi Cheng to pursue Wu Suo Wei as part of his revenge. I don’t know what mental cartwheel Wu Suo Wei went through to arrive at this plan, but hey, I’m not complaining.
The plan goes as follows:
- Create chance encounters with Chi Cheng
- Dress more “gay”
- Go to the basketball court and play with Chi Cheng
- Sneakily give Chi Cheng treats and candy
- Get Chi Cheng hooked on Wu Suo Wei’s company and disappear for a while to keep him interested
- Learn about snake breeding
Plan number 2 is so ridiculous. I mean, just look at him. He almost gave up on the whole plan and I totally understand him. LOL.
The rest of the plans worked too well. Kudos, my dudes, Doc and Wu Suo Wei. Chi Cheng, the big flirt he is, fell for Wu Suo Wei’s charm, especially when Wu Suo Wei fed his snake. The way to this man’s heart is through his snake’s stomach, not his!
Episode 3

So, Wu Suo Wei gets into the snake business. I don’t understand all the math going on with the lending and payments, but I just know Wu Suo Wei’s plan is underway and we’re steps closer to these two getting together. Yay, right? No? Okay.
Yue Yue’s relationship with Chi Cheng, on the other hand, is not progressing well, with Yue Yue getting scared of Chi Cheng’s snakes.
The other thing I like so far about Wu Suo Wei and Chi Cheng’s relationship is their gift exchanges. This is peak romance, if I do say so myself. Chi Cheng sends a delivery of clothes, blankets, and skincare to Wu Suo Wei. Sugar baby treatment, here we go! Even Doc is impressed and advises Wu Suo Wei to date Chi Cheng for real.
So, Wu Suo Wei and Chi Cheng go on their first date at the park. Wu Suo Wei is trying to ramp things up to prevent Chi Cheng from marrying Yue Yue. BUT, the date is so awkward because Wu Suo Wei is fighting with his inner demons. He wants to get physical with Chi Cheng, but it’s a struggle. Even holding hands is hard. Haiyaa. I don’t know how to help him.
Later on, Chi Cheng is seated on his car’s hood. The twilight is casting beautiful colors of the coming evening, and all I can see is a man in love. Can you see it too?
Episode 4

Err, one-sided flirting continues. I must say, Chi Cheng’s flirting is top-notch. Chef’s kiss. I’m even shy thinking about it. Man gave me butterflies. How can I transfer them to Wu Suo Wei? Keep up, my dude.
And also, Wu Suo Wei has developed a poser personality now. It’s actually so funny, I can’t help but just cackle. Chi Cheng is looking at him like, what got into you, dude? And he’s definitely bored ’cause why is Wu Suo Wei suddenly a philosopher?
Okay, heavens please save me. How long is Wu Suo Wei gonna keep his poser image? It’s so painfully cringe. I can’t. Chi Cheng is really a man on a mission wink wink if he’s keeping up with this.
Chi Cheng is really falling for Wu Suo Wei. Someone here is gonna get their heart broken. I don’t know who, and I’m not ready.
Feelings and emotions aside, Chi Cheng calls Wu Suo Wei and tells him he wants to sleep with him. Wu Suo Wei says he wants to too, but we know he doesn’t really want to. What’s gonna happen? Gosh.
Doc and Guo Cheng Yu’s relationship is also budding. Excited for my second couple. Yay!
Sudden and not-so-real confession by Wu Suo Wei plus sudden kiss by Chi Cheng alert? These two are just playing around at this point. Chi Cheng definitely has the hots for Wu Suo Wei. Wu Suo Wei, on the other hand, is playing with fire with all the confessing and behaving so coyly around Chi Cheng. He’s gonna get devoured whole, isn’t he? Loool!
Episode 5
Yue Yue meets Chi Cheng’s parents. And even a blind man can see there’s no love between these two. Anyway, it’s for the plot, right?
Chi Cheng goes to Wu Suo Wei’s home to look for him, and tell me why he’s found red-handed watching adult activities. Haha. This is hilarious.
But the situation soon turns wholesome with Chi Cheng sharing a meal with Wu Suo Wei and his mom. So domestic, aahhh!
And, wait for it… it seems my two love interests may be sharing a bed tonight. Tell me I’m not the only one who loves the “there was only one bed” trope. Nothing better than forced proximity to encourage our couple to progress their romance, huh? Umm, I got excited way too early. Chi Cheng ends up sleeping on the hard floor. I guess chivalry is not dead, but this is not what I thought would happen? Where are the accidental cuddles in the middle of the night from their sleep-addled selves?
Countryside date alert! Wu Suo Wei and Chi Cheng go on a date to catch sparrows. Pretty cute, right?

They also kiss for real this time. AHHHHH! I’m literally screaming. Yes! Let’s go!
Another thing I absolutely love is Wu Suo Wei’s silliness in this episode. All his antics and playing cute to get Chi Cheng’s attention is so adorable. It’s working. Yue Yue is getting zero attention, haha.
Also, Wu Suo Wei’s secret of being Yue Yue’s ex of three years is out. I wonder what Chi Cheng will say when he finds out from Guo Cheng Yu? He might get heartbroken ’cause dude is fully in love. He just doesn’t know it yet.
Guo Cheng Yu is also playing games with Doc. These two are so obviously attracted to each other. But what do I know? Maybe there’s thrill in the chase?
Episode 6
So, umm, Wu Suo Wei is now for real playing with fire. Why is this dude negotiating on being top? This is so funny because even if Chi Cheng gave himself over on a silver platter, Wu Suo Wei would definitely chicken out. But I guess it’s the thought that counts?
They finally shared a bed. YAAAY! My dream was not all in vain, haha.
Wu Suo Wei finally realizes that Chi Cheng didn’t get together with Yue Yue to get back at him. My boy is so conflicted with his feelings. And he’s falling deeper for Chi Cheng. When will he realize this?

So, Yue Yue tracked down the number that Chi Cheng had been talking to for hours, and she finds out it’s Wu Suo Wei. They have a shouting match, and this solidifies Wu Suo Wei’s plan for revenge. My boy is gonna fall deeper into this hole, huh?
The new plan is to get Yue Yue to try and harm Little Vinegar, Chi Cheng’s snake. This will surely get Chi Cheng to break up with Yue Yue. Is it gonna work? Hmm.
Wu Suo Wei meets with Chi Cheng after not seeing each other for six days and they go on a date in the woods. Pretty cute.
Episode 7

By evening, after their date ends, Yue Yue calls Chi Cheng and Wu Suo Wei tells him to just go see her since his dad still has his snakes in captivity. Chi Cheng leaves, but comes back and sees Wu Suo Wei looking pretty dejected. This scene really tugged on my heartstrings.
Later in his room, Wu Suo Wei finds a box full of cigarettes that he had told Chi Cheng he liked. I don’t know how healthy that is, but yay? Go, dude!
Wu Suo Wei, in return, buys Chi Cheng a present. Of all the presents in the world he could have bought him, guess what he bought? A belt. Yes, you heard it right. And Chi Cheng’s perverted mind is already going, yes, time for whipping and BDSM-type stuff. This is exactly the type of humor I like.
And as always, their interaction turns sappy very quickly. I like it though. It balances them so well. Chi Cheng tells Wu Suo Wei that he’ll be going on a business trip for a few days with Yue Yue. And guess who gets jealous? Wu Suo Wei!
While Chi Cheng is on his business trip, Wu Suo Wei finds Chi Cheng’s snakes. But he doesn’t want to tell him about them first.
Episode 8

While on the trip, Chi Cheng calls Wu Suo Wei in the middle of the night. Chi Cheng is such a flirt. Oh my days. Wu Suo Wei gets involved in Chi Cheng’s jerk-off session without realizing it, haha. I really love how this show gives me butterflies while at the same time it has me cackling like a maniac.
And in a special turn of events, Wu Suo Wei misses Chi Cheng so much that he jerks off too? Unfortunately, Chi Cheng comes back in the process. LOOOL. Then they go to sleep. Did you think they were gonna pick it up from where Wu Suo Wei left off? Haha, gotcha!
Chi Cheng’s mother, on the other hand, is pushing for Chi Cheng and Yue Yue to get married. Chi Cheng is helping Wu Suo Wei get started on his new company. Chi Cheng is really the guy who, when he falls in love, goes all in. ‘Cause he’s really going above and beyond for Wu Suo Wei. I’m just scared at this point of a looming heartbreak.
Yue Yue hires two guys to kill Chi Cheng’s snake. Wu Suo Wei comes in to “rescue.” Chi Cheng finds the intruders and they confess that Yue Yue sent them. But Chi Cheng, the smart ninja he is, seems to have realized that Wu Suo Wei also planted a packet of snake poison to try and incriminate Yue Yue. But Chi Cheng is not mad at Wu Suo Wei. I mean, just look at them.
Episode 9
This is my first time falling for a guy.
Umm, tell me why we’re starting Episode 9 with a confession from Wu Suo Wei? AHHHH! This is so cute. OMG! Wu Suo Wei tells Chi Cheng, “Actually, I quite like you.” And then they cuddle to sleep.

The snake business that I have little knowledge of continues. And everyone gets involved. Chi Cheng and Guo Cheng Yu are fighting some guys, and Wu Suo Wei, who is watching from afar, says, “This is my first time falling for a guy.” Loool. This dude. He’ll say this right now and then later refuse Chi Cheng’s advances.
Guo Cheng Yu turns against Chi Cheng and wants to steal his snakes. In the scuffle, Yellow Dragon, Chi Cheng’s snake, sneaks out and wraps around Wu Suo Wei. Pretty scary stuff. In some twisted way, Yellow Dragon is almost killing Wu Suo Wei, and Chi Cheng is in a dilemma—either kill it or let it kill Wu Suo Wei. He kills the snake.
Wu Suo Wei ends up in the hospital, but all is good. Chi Cheng even vows to take care of him and make sure he won’t get hurt again in the future.
Yue Yue runs to Chi Cheng’s mom to report that Chi Cheng has broken up with her. She wastes a lot of Kleenex with her cries. Anyway, Chi Cheng’s dad goes to the hospital to reprimand his son and tell him that he must have a woman in his life, even if it’s not Yue Yue.
Yue Yue gets roped into one of Wu Suo Wei’s schemes again. She uses Chi Cheng’s credit card and spends a ton of money. Ah, this girl. She doesn’t know how to play this game at all. But that’s what cannon fodder get, I guess. Chi Cheng’s mother finds out her son’s money is being spent recklessly and Yue Yue seems to have lost favor with the madam. The breakup is official.
In all my life getting sick and going to the hospital for some jabs, never have I ever seen or heard of this position that Chi Cheng gets Wu Suo Wei in. Just look. OMG.
Episode 10

Wu Suo Wei is released from the hospital. His business with Chi Cheng is well underway and he finally confesses to Doc that he has feelings for Chi Cheng, but he’s afraid of getting together because… he doesn’t want to be the bottom. Loool. This is hilarious.
During the opening of their new art company, Yue Yue arrives. Apparently, she had been invited by Wu Suo Wei. Dude really knows how to show off, haha. Yue Yue tries to become chummy-chummy with Wu Suo Wei, but he’s not interested anymore. Ha!
Later that evening at the after-party, Wu Suo Wei gets really drunk and confesses to Chi Cheng that he can’t bear to leave him. AHHH! So cute. I really can’t wait for these two to make it official. Chi Cheng, the gentleman he is, takes care of Wu Suo Wei.
Chi Cheng comes back from a business trip and finds Wu Suo Wei at the office. Look, Chi Cheng is so smooth, this guy. Wu Suo Wei, the confused duck he is, is so flustered when Chi Cheng makes out with him that he asks for a breakup. First off, when did you guys make it official? Did I miss the memo? But Chi Cheng convinces Wu Suo Wei that he likes him—the real him, the clumsy and loser him, and not the poser Wu Suo Wei had been trying to portray himself as. This is freaking romantic. This scene literally melted my heart.
In other news, Doc offers to buy Wu Suo Wei lube. Friendship goals, I guess? But this goes to shit real quick. So, Chi Cheng, who I guess is too tired of waiting for Wu Suo Wei to sleep with him, decides to blackmail Doc. Doc, on the other hand, guilt-trips Wu Suo Wei to try and get him to sleep with Chi Cheng!
Episode 11
You’re mine. I’m yours.
Guo Cheng Yu and Doc’s relationship is rebudding after Wu Suo Wei visited Guo Cheng Yu with the threat that Chi Cheng would sleep with Doc. I mean, we all know Chi Cheng has absolutely no interest in Doc, but for the plot, we go with anything.
And Chi Cheng, after the threats he dished out to Doc, now he’s MIA. But it’s driving Wu Suo Wei insane. It’s so funny seeing him missing Chi Cheng, but as always, he’s not gonna admit that to himself, lol.

Um, so after going batshit with his own thoughts, Wu Suo Wei meets with Chi Cheng and man, I’ve never seen such electric face-eating like what I saw Wu Suo Wei do to Chi Cheng’s face. In short, I’m trying to say, damn, my dude can really kiss so passionately, huh? Way to go, Wu Suo Wei! And on top of that, he staked his claim on Chi Cheng with, “You’re mine.” AHHHHHHH! And Chi Cheng affirmed with, “I’m yours.” Double AHHHHHHH!
I just came from screaming in excitement to screaming in frustration. Guo Cheng Yu, that meddling bastard, set up Chi Cheng. Now we’re back to square one because Wu Suo Wei is mad at Chi Cheng for sleeping around in the past. Now all those confessions from last night—gone down the drain. ARGHH!
Danger averted! Wu Suo Wei reclaimed his man again. But these people really like putting me through a million emotions. But it’s worth it. As long as they end up together.
Episode 12
What a way to start episode 12! My, my! We’re deep in BDSM territory, my guys. What I said before, remember? That was nothing. My man Chi Cheng is pulling out blindfolds and whipping his belt about. Whew!
All I’m gonna say is… Wu Suo Wei got DEVOURED!
Then he couldn’t walk or sit straight for days because his back—get it? His back got destroyed. But aiyoo, life is too hard for Wu Suo Wei. His boyfriend has too high a libido. That’s when he’s caught by Doc in the clinic bed, doing it with Chi Cheng. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. What is this scene?
And now tell me why Guo Cheng Yu sprays an aphrodisiac essence in both his and Doc’s faces. Surely that’s too direct? OMG! It’s like we’re reading one of those “fuck or die” novels. Because clearly they now have to do it. Which, they don’t because apparently Doc seems to have some trauma regarding a guy named Meng Tao.

Doc comes clean to Wu Suo Wei about Chi Cheng’s threat. Wu Suo Wei sees this as an opportunity to come clean too about why he approached Chi Cheng. I highly doubt he’ll go through with this, but we’ll see.
Doc also comes to the conclusion that Guo Cheng Yu likes Chi Cheng. And that’s not all. He also thinks Chi Cheng likes Guo Cheng Yu back. I wonder if there’s any truth in this. I don’t see it though.
Wu Suo Wei’s mom tells Chi Cheng, while he was visiting her, that Wu Suo Wei used to have a girlfriend for three years.
Wu Suo Wei confronts Chi Cheng about his blackmail of Doc Jiang. Chi Cheng comes clean about his intentions and apologizes. Yes, I love me a responsibility-taking king!
Wu Suo Wei seems like he wants to confess about his initial intentions in approaching Chi Cheng too. I wonder if he’ll do it.
Okay, so things are about to get MESSY. Ex-boyfriends show up, family drama explodes, and just when you think these two have it figured out? NOPE! If you thought the first half was a rollercoaster, buckle up! Head over to Part 2 (Episodes 13-24) to see how this all plays out!
