List of 2025 Taiwanese BL Series

I’ve been following 2025 Taiwanese BL series, and wow, they came in strong. From sweet romances to unexpected sci-fi twists, there’s been a lot to love. Here are the ones I’ve watched or added to my list.

1. Impression of Youth (印象·青春)

This one hit me right in the feels. It follows Art student Yu Xing, who is sent to teach in a rural high school to save his failed graduation project. There, he meets Lu Hui, a spirited student who loves painting. As they grow closer through an art-for-rides deal, an unexpected bond and feelings begin to form. Muji Hsu (who you might remember from Because of You) really carries the emotional weight here. It’s a quiet, tender story that stays with you.

2. Exclusive Love (獨佔接班人)

This premiered on Valentine’s Day, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. It’s about a reluctant heir to a funeral business (yep, you read that right) who gets stuck with a no-nonsense instructor. What starts as an awkward arrangement slowly turns into something… exclusive. If you liked You Are Mine, Parker Mao is back and just as charming.

3. Eternal Butler (全面管控)

Okay, hear me out: this one has an AI robot who falls in love. Yes, really. But it’s done in a way that’s surprisingly deep. Kevin Chang (from VIP Only) plays the robot, and he nails that whole “learning to feel” arc. If you’re into sci-fi with a soft romantic twist, this should be on your radar.

Although released in December 2024, Eternal Butler ran up to 2025.

4. See Your Love (看見愛)

This one really stood out for its representation. The story centers around a rich guy and his new assistant, who happens to be deaf. It’s not just a sweet love story; it’s also about learning to communicate and understand each other beyond words. Heartwarming, emotional, and beautifully acted.

See Your Love was also released in 2024, but the final episode aired on January 8, 2025.

5. A Perfect Match

Released in February, this is a more lighthearted one. Tennis-loving Cheng Tianxiang crosses paths with cold, overprotective CEO Lin Xiaonan after rescuing his little sister. Still reeling from a breakup with his ex, Cheng finds himself drawn into the siblings’ lives and into unexpected feelings. As old flames resurface and emotions tangle, a slow-burning romance begins to bloom.

6. Fight for You

Fight for You is a classic, what happens when you put two handsome dudes together?

Da Hei and Xiao Bai are forced to live together despite the fact that they come from very different worlds. Da Hei takes on all kinds of jobs to pay his sister’s medical bills. Xiao Bai, on the other hand comes from a family of secret agents, and he is sent to spy on Da Hei.

This show is full of rom-com tropes and cliches. It’s best to watch when you need a feel-good, light show to pass time.

7. The Promise of the Soul

A 69-year-old Xia Cha wakes up in the body of his 20-year-old grandson, Xia Ze Fang. The show follows Xia Cha as he navigates a new body, a new life, a new sexuality, and his relationship with Ye Hai Yuan.

The premise of the show is something I haven’t seen in BL before. It’s hard to categorize if this is an age-gap romance, but again, an old soul is living in a 20-year-old’s body. The show is definitely unique. But would you give it a try? What do you think of the premise?

That’s everything I’ve seen pop up so far in 2025 from Taiwan. If I’ve missed any 2025 Taiwanese BLs, feel free to let me know. My watchlist is always open!
